It All Began with Love, Dreams & Goals
Wayne and Trish Hamlin, the Founders of Ronin Riding Club, have a long history of love, dedication, and service to others.
As Freshmen at North Fort Myers High School, Wayne & Trish met and fell in love. After successfully graduating during the Bicentennial year of 1976, guess what? Wayne & Trish got married!
Wayne served our country for 20 years in the United States Navy, with four of those years as Top Gun, which is what we call Wayne to this day. (If anyone actually calls him Wayne, we all get confused) Alongside every successful man is a strong woman; therefore, Trish is called Boss Lady, and both have our deepest love and respect.
Top Gun & Boss Lady had a dream to continue to help make the world a better place, starting with the local community of Fort Myers, Florida. After much thought, the idea of pairing their dream with their passion for motorcycles gave way to the inception of Ronin Riding Club. Motorcyclists have a long, proud history of organizing, participating in, and donating to worthy charitable organizations. Their dreams and passions were fused to create a fantastic synergy that has positively impacted community organizations and local families in need since 2009, one ride at a time.
Their passion for family, riding, and making our community a better place is reflected in all that Ronin Riding Club strives to emulate.
Tyler (Moke) & Dana (Lady Blue)
Tyler was born in Hawaii and joined the Navy in June of 1980. He was stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Base in California, where he met Dana in the summer of 1982, right after she graduated high school. They met at the swimming pool there on the base and started dating the following week. They were so in love and were married only 9 months later, in 1983, before Tyler was whisked away on deployment.
They moved to San Diego just a few short years later, where they met our other founders, Wayne and Patricia Hamlin, and became lifelong friends. Soon, they called each other's family, as many military friends do. They were separated by the military from time to time and still remained family and friends. When they all retired from the military after 20+ years of service, they were reunited in CapeCoral Florida and started riding motorcycles together.
After being in other motorcycle clubs, they decided they wanted to start their own motorcycle club. In 2009, Ronin Riding Club was born! TopGun, BossLady, and Moke & LadyBlue have been running this fantastic club since!! They try to help as many of our community members, Veterans & children with all of their Ronin Club Members.
